Global use

Choose any of 249 countries or territories, a device or named time zone, a Catholic liturgical tradition, and one of 14 official Compendium publication languages. These are separate preferences; the app does not infer your Church from your location. Navigation, Today controls, gentle prompts, regional selection, the library and catalogue search support seven languages. A first visit uses a supported browser language for these controls; it does not infer your country, Church or calendar. Practice readers, the plan editor and some other controls remain English. Publications retain their original language. French readings and all eight Offices or Mass choices open at AELF for your exact date and selected regional calendar. Complete regional feeds and translated local collections are not yet available.

Catholic source reading

Read the current USCCB daily-readings feed, a complete 1914 Douay–Rheims Bible scan, an approved historical catechism, 48 complete source answers and nine verified prayer texts here. The question collection and prayers can also be downloaded as a single offline HTML file. Book scans preserve printed pages; they are not searchable or screen-reader transcripts. Other verified works open at their publishers when reproduction rights are unavailable.

Video and podcasts

Topic pages offer reviewed Catholic recordings after the primary answer or prayer. Daily-reading views choose one exact-date Mass in a fixed order from EWTN, CatholicTV and Daily TV Mass. They can include exact-date prayer from 10 Minutes with Jesus and Catholic Daily Reflections with Dr. Tim Gray. A Meditations in Manhattan recording is added only when its own title or description explicitly matches a distinctive name in the observance. Older recordings are never relabeled as today’s.

These recordings are editorial selections, not works carrying an imprimatur. Video and audio remain with their publishers. YouTube’s privacy-enhanced player loads only after you choose Play; podcast audio does not autoplay.

Today, questions and your next step

When the U.S. reference edition is selected, the homepage pairs its current Gospel with related source teaching, a prayer and an optional practice for your plan. The daily observance refreshes from the USCCB feed throughout the year. The Office opens at its licensed publisher for the same local date; its proper texts are not copied here. The question navigator covers all 598 Compendium numbers at the Vatican, alongside the 48 answers hosted here.

Open available prayer texts, selected recordings and original book pages within a scheduled practice. Set a silent timer for reading or prayer. Optional waking and resting times accommodate an overnight routine.

Home-screen and offline access

Add a shortcut or install from a supporting browser. Explicitly save a small searchable offline collection of the 48 source answers and nine prayer texts. The separate offline plan editor can read and edit a plan you chose to save on this device, and import or export a backup. Media, current liturgy and external resources still require a connection.

Your plan and library

Choose daily, weekly, monthly and yearly reminders, adjust their times, and export them to your own calendar. Keep or export bookmarks and reading progress on this device. An optional encrypted transfer lets you carry these choices to another device with a private recovery code. Optional automatic sync keeps your saved plan and library together while the app is visible and unlocked. Conflicting edits stop for your choice. Reloading or closing locks the session; your regional preferences remain local.

Automatic maintenance

Source checks report technical availability. They cannot approve or rewrite religious teaching. No independent monitoring or unattended-operation guarantee is claimed.
